Technical Description:

The sensor operates on the fluorescence measurement principle. The tip of the sensor is coated with a fluorescent substance. When the blue light emitted by the sensor illuminates this substance, it becomes excited and emits red light. Since oxygen molecules can carry away energy (quenching effect), the intensity and duration of the emitted red light are inversely proportional to the concentration of oxygen molecules. The dissolved oxygen concentration in water is calculated based on this relationship.
